Abstract

We describe and illustrate three newly identified species of Impatiens Riv. ex L. (Balsaminaceae): I. maridadi Gavin-Smyth from Tanzania’s Uluguru Mountains, I. damuyamzee Gavin-Smyth & A. Bianchi from the Udzungwa Mountains, and I. kidude Gavin-Smyth & A. Bianchi from the Nguru Mountains. We compare the new species with other Impatiens species sharing similar morphology in the region. All three new species are endemic to the biologically important Eastern Arc Mountains of Kenya and Tanzania.
